Applications:

For smoothing concrete prior to installing vinyl and rubber slabs and tiles

Specification terms:

The leveling mortar shall be GP996 - a manufactured standard cement based leveling mortar.

mix:

Add clean water into a suitable mixing bucket, then add GP996 powder steadily. Add powder with slow mixing and continuous whistling.

Stir thoroughly until a smooth mortar is obtained; scrape down the sides of the bucket to mix dry powder.

A 25kg bag requires approximately 6.5 liters of clean water.

The mixed material can be used immediately and should be used within 10 minutes after mixing.

laying:

Immediately after mixing, pour the mixed material on the floor and spread with wide sweeping motions using a plastic or steel float for plaster.

Press firmly and work well into corners and around protrusions.

Leaves neat edges for subsequent batches.

Subsequent mixtures should be poured over the wet edge of the previous mixture.

Old partially solidified material must be scraped off and discarded.

Drying time:

Prevent drafts on the floor to avoid premature drying of the area.

At ambient temperatures, the GP960 will appear dry after about two hours and allow light traffic after three to four hours.

After 48 hours the floor can be laid, with a thickness of 3 mm.

hardening:

Reached full strength after 28 days. At room temperature of 28°C, after 48 hours GP996 will dry sufficiently to allow the adhesive to spread.

In colder climates this will take longer. Do not place in a place where the temperature is lower than 5°C.

Underfloor heating must be switched off at least 48 hours before work begins and 48 hours after final paving has been completed.

Security data:

As with all chemical products, care should be taken during use and storage to avoid contact with eyes, mouth, skin and food (which may also be contaminated with vapors until the product is fully cured or dry).

Coverage:

Depends on the roughness and surface profile of the floor.

At an application thickness of 3 mm, the coverage area is approximately 7-8 m2 per 25 kg bag.

Shelf life:

The powder contains hydraulic cement and water-soluble additives. Therefore, storage must be in dry conditions, above ground, at a temperature between 5°C and 30°C. The shelf life is about 6 months.
