The BugHunter Professional BH-04 is an RF signal detector designed for professional use in the security field. It is a full-featured anti-spyware device designed to detect digital and analog wireless spy devices (spy bugs, hidden microphones and cameras, walkie-talkies, etc.). The device features an ultra-wide frequency range, two independent search channels with separate antennas, and a built-in frequency counter to identify the frequency of detected spy bugs. BugHunter Professional BH-04 is equipped with information indication system and other functions to easily detect all spy devices in the shortest time.

The main advantage

1. Two independent channels, operating frequency range 10~8000 MHz.Each channel has its own antenna and specific purpose. The ANT1 channel is designed to search in the 10 to 2400 MHz range, which is the frequency at which most spy devices operate. It has high sensitivity and wide dynamic range (up to 70 dB), so it is able to detect even the lowest powered spy bugs. ANT2 is a high-frequency (2400 to 8000 MHz) high-speed channel capable of detecting even nanosecond signals. Detects all spy devices (5.8 GHz digital and analog cameras, 2.4 and 5 GHz Wi-Fi, and Btimemodule, etc.). Therefore, the BugHunter Professional BH-04 operates over the entire frequency range without packet loss.

2. Built-in frequency meter.The unit is equipped with a high-sensitivity, high-speed frequency counter. It identifies the most popular signal ranges including GSM, DECT, Btime, WLAN, 3G/4G/5G. Knowing the type of signal detected makes it easier to spot spying bugs.

3. 3 operation modes: search, oscilloscope and protection mode.Search mode allows detection and location of spy devices. The scope mode is designed to display special graphs for analyzing radio fields and identifying signal types. Protected Mode is used to keep monitoring the area after spying bugs have been cleared.

4. Convenient and informative color LCD screen (320 x 340 pixels).When searching for spy bugs, the screen displays two graphs: the peak (red) and average (blue) of the detected signal. These graphs show how the radio field changes over time. Spike plots are used to detect digital spyware because it depicts pulsed signals. Mean plots indicate stable signals and are used to detect simulated spy errors. Therefore, BugHunter Professional BH-04 is capable of locating both analog and digital bugs. By default, the device displays the last 7.5 seconds of the radio environment, but the user can select other time ranges: 2.5, 4.5, 7.5, 12 or 22 seconds.

5. Automatic and manual adjustment of sensitivity and vibration signal activation threshold.If desired, the sensitivity of the device can be adjusted so that the graph does not go out of scale. The vibration signal threshold can also be adjusted. The two scales on the right side of the screen indicate the sensitivity level. Sensitivity can be adjusted manually or automatically by long pressing the "OK" button.

6. Background elimination function to eliminate interference. This is a full-featured alternative to filtering, as the latter will only suppress strong GSM and Wi-Fi signals, preventing detectors from locating low-power spying bugs. The BugHunter Professional BH-04 eliminates interference more effectively: when background cancellation is activated, the device remembers the current signal level and takes background readings into account when searching for spy bugs, showing the peak and average values ​​of the detected signal. This way the current radio field does not significantly affect the search process. The background signal level is shown in the lower right part of the screen (Z field), and the power of the radio signal is shown above (E field).

7. Log generation with PC upload function.In safe mode, the device keeps a database of alarms (radio signals found) stored in memory. The device has 4 databases, each with 2000 logs. Each database is capable of storing alerts registered during a secure mode session. It is then repeatedly overwritten with new data. If connected to a PC, the device proposes to generate logs in PDF format separately for each database. Each log file can be saved for detailed analysis if desired.

8. Sound indication with detection signal.The device has acoustic control, which means that the detected signal is output to the device's built-in speaker or headphones. By evaluating the volume, it is easier to find bugs. When approaching the location of the suspected spy bug, press the "COR" button. The device starts emitting a special detection signal. The spy bug receives the signal and transmits it on its own frequency. In return, the detector receives the transmission and notifies the user if the signal matches. Probe signals help find the precise location of spy bugs and detect those that only activate when there is a sound.

9. Powered autonomously by lithium polymer battery. The device is powered by a built-in rechargeable battery, so there is no need to change batteries. The battery can be charged via a 110/220V power adapter or a PC's USB port.

10. Sturdy metal case.The aluminum alloy casing protects the device from mechanical damage.

operating mode

search mode.This is the main mode enabled by default. The device displays peak and average values. Pulse errors can be detected with a peak plot, while analog errors can be detected with a mean plot. Need to choose which channel to use: ANT1, ANT2 or ANT1+ANT2. We recommend using both channels in sequence: first use ANT1, then change to ANT2. This way you can find all spy devices around. Simultaneous use of both channels is only recommended for explicit analysis of the current radio field, since in this case the sensitivity of the device will be limited by the ANT2 channel parameters.

oscilloscope mode.This is an auxiliary mode for displaying waveform graphs of radio signals. The purpose of the oscillogram is to provide the user with information about the waveform of the radio signal and its changes over time in order to identify the spy device emitting it. The device can display data from both channels or separately from ANT1 and ANT2. On-screen waveform rendering can be paused for detailed signal analysis.

protection method.This mode is used to permanently control the radio field in the absence of unidentified signals. For example, you can use this mode during negotiations or when leaving the area so you don't miss new sources (e.g. delayed transmission of spy bugs or remote control bugs).

When changing to protected mode, the device estimates the current radio field and remembers the signal level. Furthermore, it will record all new activity signals and add them to the event database, notifying the user by turning on the display, sound signal or vibration according to the selected settings.

Spy Bug Search Guide

Our experts recommend starting by checking furniture, suspended ceilings, holes in baseboards or walls, different interior items, heaters, etc. Start the spyware search with the ANT1 channel activated. Hold the device 30-50 cm (12-20 inches) from the surface under study. Use the green graph (average value) to determine if the signal level has changed. If you find that the graph is out of range and the signal power is increasing, use the automatic sensitivity adjustment or adjust manually. Investigate more closely where spying errors are suspected. Don't neglect to use the voice control and activate the detection signal when needed. Once you're done screening with ANT1, don't forget to check the room with the ANT2 channel.

important!If you find a bug, don't stop searching. Check the room accurately, as there may be more spy devices around. Also, different spy devices (i.e. microphones, hidden cameras, etc.) work differently. If you've thoroughly checked the room, stop searching, but don't turn off the device. Instead, turn on Protected Mode and the device will monitor the radio field, notifying you if a new spy bug is activated.

important!If there are a lot of signaling devices in the room, turn them off or use background cancellation. This way you can get rid of interference and set a higher sensitivity to effectively locate all spy devices.
