Huiacoustics flexible mass loaded vinyl is a kind of sound insulation felt with certain flexibility of rubber. It uses polymer materials as the main raw material, and is mainly used in combination with MgO or gypsum board for wall insulation and ceiling insulation, and is also suitable for pipelines and mechanical sound insulation and vibration reduction devices. Loaded with sound-deadening qualities, the vinyl reduces the transmitted energy from incident sound sources, keeping the room quiet.

Mass Loaded Vinyl Construction Methods

(1) Clean up the walls.
(2) Install shock-absorbing keels with a spacing of about 600mm. Sound-absorbing cotton can be filled in the gap. Try to avoid rigid contact by laying heavily loaded vinyl at the stud interior nails.
(3) Install gypsum board or MgO board on the keel, then stick a large amount of loaded vinyl, then stick fireproof and soundproof composite board, and fix the soundproof blanket with multipurpose glue or screws.
(4) Seal all joints with construction sealant.
