Company Profile
Bangladesh is one of the most populous countries in the world and the garment industry accounts for 84% of our total foreign exchange. In order to reduce the cost of production, our modern garment industry has been automated, resulting in a significant increase in productivity and reduction in overhead costs. Due to the high productivity, this automation leads to increasing textile waste and increasing unemployment. In order to solve this problem, we "Nature Works LTD", a sister company of "DENIVER", was established in 2020, determined to solve these problems by doing something that we can retain some contributions. The waste recycled carpets made by hand weaving on traditional handlooms are creating more employment opportunities for rural workers with a larger industrial chain. Our workshop is 370 kilometers away from the capital Dhaka, 20 minutes drive from Saeedpur Airport and about 40 minutes drive from Uttara EPZ (Nilphamari). We built our factory in the "MONGA" area to avoid the problematic imbalance between urban and rural areas. Artisans at "Nature Works LTD" are 90% women and they live within walking or biking distance of our workplace, so they don't have to pay for transportation or lodging Our History of Recycled Rugs: Towards the Environment: We care about our environment, This is where our main goal is to minimize waste. Although there is no exact figure for the amount of knitting waste produced in our country, the amount is quite large. It was about 16356 tons in 2017 and is expected to reach 43000 tons of solid textile waste by 2025. With our current setup we can consume up to 204t/yr of knitting waste and by 2025 we expect to consume around 1500t/yr of knitting waste to make our recycled cotton rugs. Resource Conservation: Our recycled cotton rugs have a huge impact on global resource conservation. Estimates are not that exact, but in conventional cotton production it may take around 10,000 liters of water to produce one kilogram of cotton fabric (source BCI). In other words, 1 kg of our recycled cotton rugs saves 10,000 liters of water from our global resources. Sustainability: Consumers and designers are shifting their preferences towards more sustainable options, especially in the upper mid-market segment. As well as using cotton waste, we also use natural materials such as jute to make woven rugs, bags and seagrass to make baskets as our raw material, which fits very well with this trend. Indigofera Tinctoria's natural dye is added as an extra sustainable feature when creating our indigo denim. Design and Co-Create Our handwoven rugs come in a variety of designs, styles and patterns. Those are colored or solid color to meet customer's requirement. It can also be printed on woven jute rugs to add pattern and colour. We have skilled technicians; customers can cooperate with us to develop their own designs.
