Why is 5000K and full spectrum the best color temperature for broilers?
Since chickens see more of the visible spectrum than humans, poultry lighting spectrum should be different than commercial lighting. The poultry light consists of red, blue and green colors in one, which can help chickens grow healthily and induce feed conversion into eggs or meat.
> Blue reduces the movement when catching chickens, making them less frightened, thus improving the quality of chickens.
> Red color increases feed intake and reduces chick pecking
