This decoupling membrane is specially designed for the installation of ceramic and stone tiles and underlayments for ceramic and stone tiles on any flat and load-bearing substrate.
This integration of decoupling, waterproofing, load distribution and vapor management functions enables consistent results.
Features:
A. Decoupling
It provides decoupling through its open ribbed structure, allowing in-plane motion, effectively neutralizing differential motion stresses between the substrate and the tile, thereby eliminating a major cause of cracking and delamination on the tile surface.
B. Waterproof
It provides reliable waterproofing in interior and exterior applications. Its polyethylene content protects the substrate from moisture penetration, which is especially important in today's building environments where most substrates are moisture sensitive.
C. Vapor Management
Distinguishing feature of this uncoThe upling membrane is the presence of free space created by the configured channels at the bottom of the mat. The free space provides an avenue for excess moisture and steam to escape from the substrate that might otherwise damage the tile layer above. Therefore, it can effectively control the moisture under the tile covering.

D. Load distribution
It is nearly incompressible within tile components, enabling the benefits of decoupling without sacrificing point load distribution capabilities. The membrane installation's ability to support and distribute heavy loads while maintaining the integrity of the tile surface has been proven through extensive laboratory and field testing, including applications exposed to vehicular traffic.
